Mayank Pratap is a social development professional with 3+ years of experience working at the grassroots level across sectors, including education, women’s empowerment, labour welfare, and government-led social welfare programmes. Throughout his career, he has been committed to supporting underserved communities by facilitating access to information, services, and opportunities that contribute to their social and economic well-being.
Currently, he works as an Executive at Indus Action, where he is involved in field-based research, policy documentation, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with government departments. His role includes conducting field visits, documenting programme processes and learnings, supporting implementation activities, and preparing reports, communication materials, and knowledge products. This experience has enabled him to develop a strong understanding of public service delivery systems, labour welfare initiatives, and community-centred development approaches.
Over the years, he has collaborated with a wide range of stakeholders, including government officials, community members, civil society organisations, and frontline workers. These engagements have strengthened his skills in communication, coordination, problem-solving, and documentation, while reinforcing his commitment to creating meaningful social impact.
Outside of work, he is an enthusiastic reader and enjoys exploring books on a variety of subjects. He is also passionate about cycling and travelling, as they provide opportunities to discover new places, experience different cultures, and gain fresh perspectives.
