Nawed Reza is an Executive, RTE Pod, supporting the implementation of Section 12(1)(c) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009 in Bihar. He holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. His professional experience focuses on programme operations, education governance, policy research, government coordination, and technology-enabled programme implementation.
In his current role, he works with the Department of Education, district administrations, schools, and technology partners to support the implementation of RTE Section 12(1)(c), facilitating equitable access to education for children from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Disadvantaged Groups (DG). His responsibilities include programme monitoring, grievance redressal, stakeholder coordination, data analysis, operational reporting, and the preparation of government communications and presentations.
He has contributed to the enhancement of the Gyandeep Portal, Bihar’s digital platform for admissions under RTE Section 12(1)(c), through process documentation, functional requirement gathering, reporting framework development, and workflow improvements. His work also includes policy and legal analysis related to RTE implementation and the development of recommendations to strengthen programme effectiveness, transparency, and accountability. His professional interests include public policy, digital governance, programme management, and data-driven public service delivery.
