Sakshi Tekam is a public policy, programme management, and social impact professional with 6+ years of experience spanning government advisory, policy implementation, research, consulting, and volunteer leadership. Her expertise lies in public policy, project and programme management, stakeholder engagement, evidence-based research, digital governance, and last-mile service delivery, with a strong focus on labour welfare, skill development, education, entrepreneurship, social protection, and inclusive development.

She currently supports the Labour Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, where she leads initiatives to strengthen labour welfare systems through policy and process reforms, digital governance solutions, AI-enabled grievance redressal, and citizen-centric service delivery. She has contributed to policy research, programme design, and large-scale field studies to improve access to government schemes and enhance implementation outcomes.

Previously, as a Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow with the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and IIM Ahmedabad, she partnered with district administrations to develop skill development strategies, entrepreneurship initiatives, and livelihood programmes. Her work included designing interventions for youth employment, leading a programme that supported over 200 tribal women entrepreneurs, and contributing to district-level planning and policy recommendations.

Alongside her professional roles, she has actively volunteered with organisations working in education, youth development, and community engagement, contributing to mentoring, capacity building, research, and grassroots initiatives. These experiences have strengthened her ability to work across diverse stakeholders and deliver community-centred, evidence-based solutions.

Across her career, she has combined research, government consulting, programme implementation, capacity building, and cross-sector collaboration to design scalable, inclusive, and data-driven interventions. Her work has primarily focused on central India while contributing to research and policy initiatives across multiple states, with a commitment to improving governance systems and expanding equitable access to public services.
